GATE Syllabus 2025: CSE, ECE, EE, ME, DA, EC, IN, CE Subject Wise Syllabus

If you’re reading our posr GATE Syllabus 2025, then probably you’re preparing up to take on the GATE Exam 2025.

GATE is a prestigious examination conducted annually for admissions into postgraduate programs in engineering at IITs, NITs, and other top engineering colleges in India.

But, what makes GATE stand out? It’s the diverse range of subjects it covers.

From Aerospace Engineering to Life Sciences, GATE covers a broad spectrum of engineering and science subjects. Each subject has a unique code, and a candidate is allowed to appear either in ONE or UP TO TWO test papers.

In 2025, GATE will be conducted for 30 test papers

Each GATE paper is consist for a total of 100 marks. The paper is divided into two main sections: General Aptitude (GA) and the respective test paper syllabus.

GA is common for all papers and carries 15 marks, while the rest of the paper, which covers the respective test paper syllabus, carries 85 marks.

All the GATE papers will be conducted in English, ensuring a uniform platform for students from different regions.

The GATE exam is a gateway to postgraduate engineering programs and job opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

In this blog, we’ll break down the GATE syllabus subject by subject, topic by topic, making it more manageable and less intimidating. We’ll highlight the key areas to focus on, share tips on how to tackle complex topics, and provide resources to deepen your understanding.
